Some difficult setting or a little adjustment to the time would do fine. There is only a campaign mode at the moment.. Please ignore any of the feedback telling you the game is to hard, this could be corrected by adding difficulty settings. This game will probably include these in a later update. As an early access this game a very strong release, it is a real strategic challenge, The core concept of the game is outstanding, I'm a train goof and Ive wanted something like this for ages, I'm so glad you done this properly! Please Please Please add more train selection. The game is enjoyable to learn, fun to play, and the tech trees are well thought out, the maps are decent and the cities varying needs keep the game interesting.Things i hope change: The UI could be improved with a few animated gears (its a little boring). The game play needs to be much less linear (more contract selection). There are also a few game breaking bugs to fix (like the monthly tax coming out daily). Also the days are far to short. would also be nice to see a day and night cycle.. I was like everyone who gotten this game, that couldn't wait to play it once it got released. So, I've been playing this nice game since Monday. I didn't want to jump the gun and give it a review yet until I try everything with it, including trying the three boss's.I understand it is an early access no problem, which is good because I could hopefully give some good and bad feedback. Here is the good feedback it is a beautiful game, good sound, good envourment, good concept of transporting goods to towns. That's the good feedback Now the bad. The time of complete the mission, its too fast. I should be able to transport like 20 coal, plus 20 lumber in one day and still able to finish transporting Iron Ore at the same day. The constent pain of repairing my train every trip. I think I should be able to repair my train once a week or so. I don't know because it was very difficult to get my missions done and worrying rather the main mission is pass or not. I tried three boss's like I said and I had, a hard time getting the main mission done. So, my answer to people to get this game or not. Its up to them, but as of right now I think I should wait.. It has great graphics for it being a train sim. A campaign mode which I always liked better than sandbox mode. Currently locked out at the moment. You do have to plan out your strategy and find ways to make money early. You will go bankrupt 1 or more times before you get the hang of it. The contracts in the game are not your primary goal at 1st. They are just a guide. Money 1st contracts 2nd. After your economy has started to move. Move your goals towards the contracts. The game still plays even in construction mode. Games that pause during construction you always end up hitting the time compression and waiting. I just let the play out at normal speed and continue playing. However you do have the option to pause and time compress at any time. I don't suggest using the time compression to often. There is no need to learn signaling. The game has an internal signalling method that keeps them from not crashing. It's meant more of this train takes care of of this city to city and single track lines.Want goods to go to a different city. Put in a warehouse and store the goods there. After a few missions you can build warehouses and sell items directly to the city manually or move them on to the next city. It does have a few bugs but I've been able to play through them, Ex When laying track it sometimes needs a 2nd or 3rd click to get the track to set. Nothing to make it not playable. As well as a slight performance issue when in build mode. As with the timeline of the game. They are following the timeline of real world events. So the need for you to move along and complete contracts. It's a contract. I sign a contract with you. I want you to get it done in a certain amount of time. You can't accept a contract and expect to take a lifetime to get it done. Other games have timelines. They aren't do this by this time but AI gets better, expands, harder to compete with, and will eventually win if you don't keep up.However I found there is reasonable amount of time to complete the contracts. If you don't want contracts or deadlines. Play Train fever or Transport fever. Those 2 are purely the best you'll get to do whatever you want and build an empire.Worth it. For some time I wasn't a fan of early access. When games are done. Release them. Sink or swim. However if you think of it. Your a beta tester. Your receiving a discount from the full release price when it's release. If you don't like games do to their bugs not being polished intuitive ui. Don't buy it. Wait till it's full developed and at a higher retail price. They could higher some people to do all the bug testing and feedback. However that's only a handful of people, maybe 5 or so. With early access they can gets thousands. That's a lot more feedback and bug testing in a shorter amount of time as well as. A bigger majority of consumers opinions. Or you could buy at the lower price and put it away for awhile. There are plenty of other games in your inventory that are full release at the moment you could be playing. Do I think it's worth $30 at the current state. It has that feel that it will be ~$30 at full release. The fact they mention it will be early access 4-6 months. Get it on the discount although maybe $25 would have been better if they want feedback and bug testing. Then go up.. Looooove the multiplayer. It is A-W-E-S-O-M-E :-)I do look forward for new objective features especially for multiplayer. Also I did not expect any freezes or similar issues ^_^. The game would not even start for me. Had to return it. Would have loved to give this game a try.. I have fun with the game. This will need a patch to optimize the code. With 25+ trains on the map, the movement of the train become chaostic because display can't handle it. The fondation is good but it will need a little polish. I am sure a patch will come mid june for this I will edit my comment when new update will come. SUMMARY: very solid and polished early access game, but there are still a lot of things that I want to be improved.Full reviewI put Yes to recommend this game, considering this is an early access game.BUGs I got some minor bugs. Sometimes buildings do not being removed during railroad construction, but that's a visual bug and don't ruin the game. Right now didn't get any critical bugs.Gameplay.It's not a transport game - it's more economy strategy railroad game. So it has deep economy, but not so deep railroad construction features. For example, when you make a railroad junction, signals will be placed automatic. It's save you from routine signal placement, but sometimes I want to place them manual. From other side - very nice train physics, that sometimes lacks even transport games.-PROS- it's really interesting to play- deep economy- multiplayer- really cute animated buildings ^_^-CONS- no sandbox right now (but promised in future updates)- no resource generation right now ((but promised in future updates)- no manual signals- cannot observe the map from a train 'Railroad Corporation' is Available Today on Steam Early Access!: Train enthusiasts rejoice! Iffy Institute Release Update!: Hey everyone! In the last few weeks we took the time to squash all remaining bugs we could find and implement Steam achievements into the game. For now, this is the last update for the early access version, which means that the game has now reached GOLD MASTER status. Thanks to everyone that took the time to give us feedback and help us refine our very first commercially released game. We hope you enjoy it a lot!Now go blow something up!Iffy Labs. Update 01: Balance & Time Limits: Hi everyone! One of the most common concerns we received since the release from players is a time limit set in campaign missions. In this quick patch, No.01, we are tweaking these limits so players are not pushed too hard to finish the mission fast, but for those who manage to complete tasks fast enough; there's an experience bonus you can earn.To see these changes, let the game automatically update through Steam and start a new campaign from the main menu. If you're in the middle of a mission now, the next mission will also reflect these changes.Of course, there are other critical issues we see and we are working on them already, too. Still, we decided to release this fix to not delay its delivery of what we think will improve gameplay experience right away.We appreciate all feedback, especially during this Early Access period, and we will take all of your comments and suggestions in consideration to further improve the game. We have exciting plans for Railroad Corporation in Early Access and we'll have a roadmap to share, soon!Thank you for your support!Love,The Corbie Games team.
